Visiting With Your Dog

We have always loved welcoming our four-legged visitors, and we know how important dogs are as part of the family. However, due to some recent incidents, we have had to make the difficult decision to adjust our dog policy from 1st January 2026.

We would like to sincerely apologise to all the considerate dog owners and their lovely companions who have always visited us responsibly. While we know this is only a small number of incidents, unfortunately, the damage caused has outweighed the warm welcome we have always tried to give.

In our main restaurant area, dogs are not permitted, except for assistance dogs, and this will remain the case. From 1st January 2026, dogs will also no longer be allowed inside the main shop.

Dogs will continue to be welcomed in the following areas:

The conservatory dining area (accessible via the pottery museum entrance)
The Games Garden
All outdoor seating areas

We’re sharing this update early to give our regular visitors plenty of notice before the change takes effect. We aim to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all our guests, while still offering welcoming spaces for you and your dogs to enjoy together.

Thank you for your understanding.
