This Summer, House of Marbles is buzzing with excitement! We’ve taken the success of our popular ‘make-your-own’ sessions and added a brand new gem for 2024: the ‘Bee Happy’ Stitch Banner Workshop. If you’re looking to encourage your little ones into the world of crafting, this is the perfect family-friendly activity.
Got a primary-school-aged child who’s convinced they’re the next Picasso? Or maybe just a kid who loves glue and glitter? Either way, this workshop is designed just for them (and you, of course – you’re not getting off that easy). Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or you think a stitch is something that happens after a marathon, this session promises a delightful and stress-free afternoon of creativity.
You’ll have up to 2 glorious hours (minimum of 1.5 hours) to stitch, sew and pom pom your way to banner brilliance. By the end, you’ll have an adorable ‘Bee Happy’ banner that will look perfect hanging in a child’s bedroom – or anywhere that needs a touch of whimsy. Everything you need to make a fabulous Stitched Pennant Banner (like the one pictured) will be included in this session, with:
~ All materials and tools required provided on the day.
~ Instruction on how to stitch and decorate your banner.
~ A chance to learn more about making pom-poms and stitching for decoration.
~ The know-how to go away and create more Stitch banners and pompom decorations again in the future.
We will provide all the materials and expert guidance needed, ensuring you have ample crafting and styling time. Our experienced instructor will expertly guide you through the art crafting with wool, using a variety of methods.
This session is designed for one child per Bee Happy Stitch Banner, with one parent/guardian present per child. One responsible adult is able to oversee up to 2 child attendees (please provide duplicate parent/guardian information on both bookings).
This session is recommended for children aged 5+ years of age.
