This children’s workshop will give you everything you need to make an indoor Fairy Terrarium in a lantern at House of Marbles this May, building on the success of our popular ‘make-your-own’ sessions.

As a brand new addition for 2024, this session is now available to book for just £39.99 and is a great family workshop to get children interested in nature and wildlife. Join us for a practical and enjoyable crafting experience, and take home a Fairy Terrarium that also acts as a Night Light!

There are a limited 10 spaces available for this workshop only (so book early to avoid disappointment).

Who’s It For

Designed specifically for primary-school aged children to make with a parent, this workshop is designed for all skill levels, promising a delightful afternoon of creativity. Each session lasts up to 2 hours (and a minimum of 1.5 hours) giving you the perfect opportunity to create your masterpiece.

What’s Included

Everything you need to make a fabulous Fairy Rock Garden (like the one pictured) will be included in this session, with:

• A small clear glass lantern.
• A variety of plants that will work well together in your new micro garden.
• A fairy and fairy accessories.
• A string of small fairy lights with screw-secured batteries – this decoration is optional*
• A chance to learn all the important facts about your plants, enabling you to look after them for years to come.
• The option to ask further questions from our course provider.

We will provide all the materials and expert guidance needed, ensuring you have ample crafting and styling time. Our experienced instructor will expertly guide you through the art of arranging the materials provided, using a variety of greenery and other necessities required to create your new mini eco-system.

• This session is designed for one child per Fairy Rock Garden, with one parent/guardian present per child. One responsible adult is able to oversee up to 2 child attendees (please provide duplicate parent/guardian information on both bookings).
• Lantern measures approximately 10cms wide x 15cms tall, making it a perfect size for a child’s bedside table if you wish to use your terrarium as a night light!*
• This session is recommended for children aged 6+, although children aged 5 and over are welcome to attend at the discretion of their attending guardian.
• Plants and accessories may vary from those pictured.

*Please note, caution should be taken with the string lights as they may represent a choking hazard for younger children.
