February Half-Term at House of Marbles

February 16 - February 22

Marble runs at House of Marbles. Used on the Opening Hours and Marble Museum Page.

February Half-Term

Whether you’re escaping the winter weather or looking to fill the week with something different, there’s plenty for all ages to enjoy. From hands-on glass workshops and classic marble runs, to our museums, brass rubbing trail and the Emporium.

Brass Rubbing Trail

If you’re looking for something different to do in Devon, then you might be interested to hear that we have a permanent Brass Rubbing Trail that’s great to do, whatever the weather!

The trail is just £2, including a booklet & crayons which can be kept as a keepsake of your visit. Open to all ages: We highly recommend it for ages 4–10 (& younger children with supervision).

It was installed in 2018 as a heritage project for the site and was expected to last for many years. We love traditional pastimes here!

Games Garden at House of Marbles.

Games Garden

In our courtyard games garden, you’ll find a giant floating marble, giant games and a (regular-sized) children’s climbing frame, plus our listed kilns.

There’s a marble-playing area too, where you can stretch those hands and wow family members or friends with your knuckle-down skills.

With plenty of outdoor seating, it’s the ideal spot for a break, a snack, or simply enjoying the fresh air.

Museums

Step into a world of colour, creativity, and childhood wonder at our Games, Marbles, Pottery, and Glass Museum.

Explore timeless games from around the world, admire beautifully hand-crafted marbles, and discover the artistry behind traditional pottery and delicate glasswork.

Each museum showcases an extraordinary collection of artefacts from across the ages.

Marble Runs at House of Marbles

Marble Runs

Marble Runs as you’ve never seen before! You can start our unique, interactive marble runs at any time.

With four great designs to be found in our marble museum, the one you will want to see is our fifth and giant-sized ‘Snooki 2000’ – possibly the largest permanent marble run structure in the UK, or even the world!

This charming, old-fashioned favourite turns an ordinary coin into an extraordinary and unique souvenir. With just a turn of the crank, you can create a personalised keepsake that captures the essence of your visit in a fun and nostalgic way.
