This children’s workshop will give you everything you need to make a gorgeous Felt Initial Stitch Banner, with pompom decoration.

At House of Marbles this Summer, building on the success of our popular ‘make-your-own’ sessions. As a brand new addition for 2024, this session is now available to book for just £20.00! This is a great family workshop to introduce children to the wonderful world of crafts. Join us for a practical and enjoyable crafting experience, and take home an oh-so cute felt initial banner, customisable with a letter of your choice.

Who’s It For

Designed specifically for primary-school aged children to make with a parent, this workshop is designed for all skill levels, promising a delightful afternoon of creativity. Each session lasts up to 2 hours (and a minimum of 1.5 hours) giving you the perfect opportunity to create your masterpiece.

This banner makes a great decoration for your home, particularly a child’s bedroom.

What’s Included

Everything you need to make a fabulous Stitched Pennant Banner (like the one pictured) will be included in this session, with:

• All materials and tools required provided on the day.
• Instruction on how to stitch and decorate your banner.
• A chance to learn more about making pom-poms and stitching for decoration.
• The know-how to go away and create more Stitch banners and pompom decorations again in the future.

We will provide all the materials and expert guidance needed, ensuring you have ample crafting and styling time. Our experienced instructor will expertly guide you through the art crafting with wool, using a variety of methods.

• Felt Initials will be provided in an array of colours which children can choose from on the day of the workshop.
• This session is designed for one child per Felt Initial Pennant Banner, with one parent/guardian present per child. One responsible adult is able to oversee up to 2 child attendees (please provide duplicate parent/guardian information on both bookings).
• This session is recommended for children aged 5+ years of age.

*Please note, caution should be taken with banners as the string may represent a choking hazard for younger children.
