Buckle up, folks! We’re diving into the magical world of felt and pom-poms. (We know, we know, try to contain your excitement.) This Summer, House of Marbles is amping up its ‘make-your-own’ sessions with a brand new addition: the Felt Initial Stitch Banner workshop. Think of it as arts and crafts with a side of alphabet soup.
Is your primary-schooler a budding Picasso who can’t put down the glue stick? Great! This workshop is designed for children who want to get crafty and parents who are ready to finally justify buying all those DIY supplies. Whether you’re a master stitcher or someone who can’t tell a needle from a toothpick, this workshop is for all skill levels. Just bring your enthusiasm and we’ll handle the rest. (No, seriously, we provide all the materials – don’t panic.)
Each session runs between 1.5 to 2 hours. That’s just enough time to whip up a banner without feeling like you’ve run a crafting marathon. By the end, you’ll have an oh-so-cute stitch banner, customised with a letter of your choice. Perfect for your child’s bedroom or, let’s be real, that one bare spot on your wall you’ve been pretending doesn’t bother you. Everything you need to make a fabulous Stitched Pennant Banner (like the one pictured) will be included in this session, with:
~ All materials and tools required provided on the day.
~ Instruction on how to stitch and decorate your banner.
~ A chance to learn more about making pom-poms and stitching for decoration.
~ The know-how to go away and create more Stitch banners and pompom decorations again in the future.
We will provide all the materials and expert guidance needed, ensuring you have ample crafting and styling time. Our experienced instructor will expertly guide you through the art crafting with wool, using a variety of methods.
Felt Initials will be provided in an array of colours which children can choose from on the day of the workshop.
This session is designed for one child per Felt Initial Pennant Banner, with one parent/guardian present per child. One responsible adult is able to oversee up to 2 child attendees (please provide duplicate parent/guardian information on both bookings).
This session is recommended for children aged 5+ years of age.
