Glass Wave Workshop | June Sessions

June 2 - June 30

£180.00

Create Your Own Glass Wave

Ride the Wave of Creativity – A Brand New Exclusive!

Dive into the world of glassmaking with our brand-new Glass Wave Workshop at House of Marbles. For £180, this one-hour session accommodates up to two people (including children aged 12+ with an adult), each crafting their own medium-sized glass wave. Alternatively, the slot can be exclusively for one person, maximising your individual experience. It’s a practical workshop that gets you to think of form and composition as you learn to work with colours and shape your piece to life. Guided by our experts, this fun workshop is an excellent opportunity to tackle a bigger project. It’s perfect for anyone (beginners included) looking to grow their skills in glass art in a hands-on way.

🔥 Why This Workshop is Special

In our Glass Wave Workshop, you can create something truly distinctive. You’ll work on two medium-sized glass waves based on our signature ocean Wave design. This piece is a highlight of our collection, and you’ll bring your own version to life. Each creation is unique because no two waves will ever be the same.

For these sculptures, we utilise shades of blue, green and aqua to capture the ocean’s essence, allowing you to steer the colour scheme according to your preference. Importantly, we incorporate recycled glass in our process, aligning with our commitment to sustainability. Crafting with recycled materials not only supports the environment but also enriches the value of your artwork.

Adding to the appeal is that an individual completed wave piece has a retail value of £150, making this workshop a meaningful experience and exceptional value for money. It’s your chance to personalise one of our most cherished designs and walk away with a piece that’s both environmentally conscious and artistically rewarding.

After the workshop, your creation will need 2-3 days to properly cool down in the annealer. While home delivery is an option*, we strongly recommend collection in person to guarantee that your item arrives without any damage from transit.

💝 A Heartfelt Gift Experience

Searching for a gift that stands out? Our glass workshops provide a unique, hands-on experience that’s cherished long after the session ends. Perfect for any occasion, it’s a thoughtful way to show someone they’re as special as the artwork they’ll create. Here’s how to gift any of our workshops:

1. When you sign up for a course, you can register it under the name of the person you’re gifting it to.
2. Important: Make sure to use your own email address. This way, you’ll receive the course ticket via email with their name on it.
3. You’ll receive a PDF that you can print out, perfect for enclosing in a card to create that one-of-a-kind surprise!

🥽 Safety Attire Quick Guide

Closed-Toe Shoes: Protect your feet with sturdy footwear. Sandals or open-toed shoes are a no-go.
Natural Fibre Clothing: Opt for cotton attire, which is less flammable than synthetics, for your safety and comfort.
Protective Clothing: Protective Clothing: Wear long pants like jeans for leg protection. Avoid flowy attire, especially skirts. A fitted, long-sleeved t-shirt is best for heat protection, but short sleeves are okay too.
Hair Ties: Long hair should be tied back to avoid interference with your face or the flames.
Minimal Jewellery: Remove necklaces, bracelets and rings that could snag or conduct heat.
Safety Glasses: Provided by us, these are essential to shield your eyes from flying glass and bright lights.
Adhering to these guidelines will ensure you dress appropriately for a safe and enjoyable glass crafting experience. Let’s create something beautiful safely!
