Step into the captivating world of glass art with our ‘Sparkle Bird’ workshop at House of Marbles, a fresh and exciting addition for 2024. This half hour, one-to-one session, available for £55, invites you to the artful and captivating experience of making your glass bird, building on the success of our popular workshops.
In this session, you’ll work closely with our experienced glassmaker for a personalised 1:1 experience. A key feature is using dichroic glass, notable for its colour-shifting effect. This glass reflects and transmits different colours, creating a dynamic, almost holographic look as you move around it. When heated, the sparkling patterns blend seamlessly with the base glass, adding a unique touch to each bird.
Choosing from various colours, you’ll see your Sparkle Bird take shape, each with its own distinctive pattern. The combination of dichroic glass with these colours results in creations that go beyond ordinary glasswork, reflecting both your creativity and precision.
Every Sparkle Bird you create in the workshop is yours to treasure. Once it has cooled down properly, which usually takes about 2-3 days, you can choose home delivery* or collect it at your convenience, ready to proudly display your beautiful creation.
Looking for an extraordinary present that will be remembered? This Sparkle Bird workshop is an immersive experience that will be cherished long after the session ends. It’s a perfect choice for birthdays, special occasions or to show someone they are as unique as the glass bird they will create. To gift this for another please follow these steps:

Closed-Toe Shoes: Protect your feet with sturdy footwear. Sandals or open-toed shoes are a no-go.
Natural Fibre Clothing: Opt for cotton attire, which is less flammable than synthetics, for your safety and comfort.
Protective Clothing: Protective Clothing: Wear long pants like jeans for leg protection. Avoid flowy attire, especially skirts. A fitted, long-sleeved t-shirt is best for heat protection, but short sleeves are okay too.

Minimal Jewellery: Forgo necklaces, bracelets and rings that could snag or conduct heat.
Safety Glasses: Provided by us, these are essential to shield your eyes from flying glass and bright lights.
Adhering to these guidelines will ensure you dress appropriately for a safe and enjoyable glass crafting experience. Let’s create something beautiful safely!
