Design a Friend for Maggie & Henry ✏️
This summer, we’re inviting young creators to bring a brand-new character to life!
When you visit House of Marbles, pick up a competition sheet and design a new friend for Maggie & Henry, the stars of our Brass Rubbing Trail.
This free-to-enter competition is a great way for children to get creative this summer. The most imaginative entries will be in with a chance to win a truly unique prize: the opportunity to have their design transformed into a real character.
About the Competition 🎨
To take part, visit us during May Half-Term and the summer holidays and collect a competition entry form. Let your imagination run wild and bring your design to life! You can then submit your completed entry either online or in person. Children of all ages are welcome to enter.
The competition begins on Friday, 22nd May and closes at midnight on 31st August 2026. After that, our in-house team of marble experts will shortlist the best designs, which will then be put to a public vote on our Facebook page in early September. Winners will be chosen across various age categories.
How to Enter 📝
Where to collect an entry form:
• From any till point in our main shop. Collection only, can be filled out at home, or
• Ask when dining in our on-site restaurant (entry forms and crayons will be offered to families with children)
This competition is exclusively open to visitors who attend the site in person during the entry period; forms are not available for download online.
Design your character, answer the fun questions and submit your entry!
Submission ⭐
Once completed, you can submit your design in one of two ways:
• In person: Hand your entry to a member of our restaurant or shop staff, who will place it securely into our entry box (kept out of public view to protect personal data).
• Online: Scan the QR code printed on your entry form or click the ‘Entry Page’ button below to upload your design (including entry details) directly to our website.
What Happens Next? 📣
Shortlisting will begin on 1st September 2026. Our team will carefully select a range of finalists, and public voting will open on our Facebook page from mid-September. This is your chance to get involved and support your favourite designs – so don’t forget to like, share and vote!
Voting will close at midnight on 21st September 2026, and winners will be announced later that week via our social media channels. Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram to stay up to date and see how your entry performed.

The winning design will receive a goody bag of House of Marbles products and will be featured on various House of Marbles marketing materials!
