If you’re looking for something different to do in Devon then you might be interested to hear that we have a permanent Brass Rubbing Trail that’s great to do, whatever the weather!

It will help you to learn about House of Marbles and all of the fun things on site as well as to discover all the fun nooks and crannies that can be found where-ever you go! While aimed primarily at children, we know that people of any age will want to give it a go, and they are more than welcome to!

The trail is just £1 including a booklet & crayons which can be kept as a keepsake of your visit.

Open to all ages: We most recommend it for ages 4 – 10 (& younger children with supervision).

OTHER INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT THE TRAIL:

  • It was initially installed in 2018 & intended as a heritage project for the site that would last for many years to come. We love traditional pastimes here!
  • Exeter based artist Clare Elsom provided drawings which bring the trail to life: “It has been really interesting working on a project in Devon which will impact so many locals and tourists… I really think the whole family will love it, no matter their age.”
  • We proactively worked to bring other local suppliers into the mix: Paignton-based firm Ensign Engraving provided plaques for the trail & Exeter-based Brightsea Print printed the booklets.
  • The project was developed with Work Experience Student Seb Gidley from Newton Abbot College. Find out more HERE.

As a business we value those customers who ‘shop local’ and try to use those same values in our projects too!
