Our modern glassworks is open to the public throughout the year, 7 days a week & is where you’ll see glass being made & prepared every day.
The best times to see glass being made on site are between:
- 10am – 3pm Mondays – Saturdays
- 11am – 3pm Sundays
Outside of these times glass will most likely being prepared & finished (which tends not to be AS interesting to watch).
There’s a viewing platforming and working glassmakers are normally able to answer questions about what they’re making as they work.
For more information, please see our Teign Valley Glass pages.
DID YOU KNOW?
While most people refer to glass making as ‘glass blowing’ this is just one of the many techniques available to the talented craftspeople who mould and shape molten glass.
Glassblowing is normally used as a method to create an air pocket or bubble, for example in the production of baubles or vases.
