May Half-Term
at House of Marbles
Whether you’re looking to fill the week with something different or enjoy the warmer weather, there’s plenty for all ages to enjoy.
From hands-on glass workshops and classic marble runs, to our museums, brass rubbing trail and the Emporium.
Modelling Clay Workshop
Join our fun and interactive clay character workshop, where you can shape, mould and bring to life your very own animal clay creatures!
This workshop is designed to welcome primary school-aged children and their parents or guardians to create together. It’s catered for all skill levels, promising a fun morning or afternoon of creativity.
Sand Art Workshop
This fun and interactive session allows children to create a beautiful piece of art using vibrant sands. It’s the perfect way for young crafters to explore their imagination, experiment with colours, and develop their artistic skills.
Each session lasts up to an hour, making it an ideal way to entertain the children during school holidays.
Games Garden
In our courtyard games garden, you’ll find a giant floating marble, giant games and a (regular-sized) children’s climbing frame, plus our brand-new refreshment horse box!
There’s a marble-playing area too, where you can wow family or friends with your knuckle-down skills. With plenty of outdoor seating, it’s the ideal spot for a break, a snack, or simply enjoying the fresh air.
Brass Rubbing Trail
If you’re looking for something different to do in Devon, then you might be interested to hear that we have a permanent Brass Rubbing Trail that’s great to do, whatever the weather!
The trail is just £2, including a booklet & crayons which can be kept as a keepsake of your visit. It was installed in 2018 as a heritage project for the site and was expected to last for many years.
Recognised Venue
We have been recognised by a Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence Awards in consecutive years from 2014 - 2019, and the new Traveller’s Choice Award in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023!
