Celebrating Devon’s Classic Treat

Every year, National Cream Tea Day is celebrated on the last Friday of June – and this year, that’s Friday, 27th June. It’s a day dedicated to one of Britain’s most delicious traditions, complete with freshly baked scones, clotted cream (always first!), and jam.

We were thrilled to celebrate National Cream Tea Day and 40 fantastic years of Devon’s Top Attractions – a not-for-profit championing the very best days out in Devon, that House of Marbles is proud to be a part of!

In a dazzling display of togetherness and tourism pride, current members, founding figures, and former chairpeople came together to honour 40 fabulous years of Devon Association of Tourist Attractions (DATA), a not-for-profit collective committed to showcasing the very best days out in Devon.

Being part of Devon’s Top Attractions isn’t just a badge – it’s a promise. Every member undergoes rigorous annual inspections to uphold the highest standards. It’s this quality mark that ensures visitors can count on safe, family-friendly, and unforgettable days out, wherever they go in Devon.

Anne Blackham, Marketing Manager of Devon’s Top Attractions, said. “To mark our 40th anniversary, we will be giving away 40 family tickets in a massive summer giveaway competition. It’s our way of saying thank you to the visitors who’ve helped make us what we are today — and an invitation to make new memories with us this summer.” Read the full blog here.
