If you were at The Old Pottery Restaurant on Friday, 21st March, you couldn’t have missed the unique and fun-filled Red Nose Day event. The restaurant was transformed into a Shrek-themed wonderland with a bake sale that was truly ogre-the-top!
The entire team at The Old Pottery Restaurant didn’t just participate in the Red Nose Day event; they fully embraced it with their dedication and enthusiasm. Dressed as characters from Shrek, including Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, 3 Blind Mice, Lord Farquad, The Dragon, and Pinncoho, they created a lively and engaging atmosphere that made the day memorable for everyone.

To raise funds for Comic Relief, the team swapped swamp snacks for sweet treats, offering an array of delicious choices for customers to choose from. Everyone baked up a storm, delighting every person who visited and raising funds one bite at a time. The bake sale was a huge success, bringing in generous donations from the incredible support of customers.

There was also a Guess the Weight of the Shrek cake made by the very talented Second Chef, Allison. For just £1 to enter, the competition was very popular throughout the day and congratulations to Esther on guessing the correct weight, which was 2.46kg.

We would like to say a BIG thank you to the Old Pottery staff for their dedication and hard work and to the customers for their incredible support towards Comic Relief. They raised a brilliant £772 for this important cause. Every donation will go towards initiatives that help improve lives and create positive change.

Thank you for visiting The Old Pottery Restaurant and supporting Comic Relief.
