House of Marbles has always been a dog friendly destination but we realise that for those with dogs there aren’t always that many places you can go. Here are some top destinations we recommend as well as some further links to other suitable places.
Canonteign Falls or Becky Falls near Bovey Tracey
A great way to stretch those legs and take in some of the stunning natural water features of Dartmoor while on a nature trail at one of these wonderful sites. Dogs must be kept on leads.
Stover Country Park in Bovey Tracey
A local nature reserve with lots of wildlife. Be sure to pick up a map at the Nature Interpretation Centre so that you don’t miss anything. A great place for young families too. See website for more details.
Dartmoor National Park
Haytor, Houndtor, you name it. Just be sure to follow the rules for dogs on Dartmoor.
Bovey Castle, Dartmoor
A wonderful place to stay or visit that is dog friendly. Bovey Castle has its own restaurant, spa & an 18-hole golf course.

Beaches in Devon
We recommend Dawlish Warren & Teignmouth beaches as the nearest to House of Marbles, with some restrictions to be noted during the Summer months.

A very nice restaurant on Dartmoor with a wonderful menu. Perfect for a relaxing lunch.
