It’s that time of the year again when we all start turning our thoughts to glistening fairy lights & festive activities with friends & family. Cosy nights at home beside the Christmas Tree conjure up the warmest feelings of comfort and joy for many, and for some, a little moment of panic about how much there is still to do can also creep in! Most of us couldn’t be happier that we are a little over a month away from the biggest event of the year, and for those special select few who make Christmas the ever-so-special day it is, we have an exciting evening planned.

With the aptly named ‘Stir-Up Sunday’ having just been and gone on 20th November, many have been cooking up their own special batch of Christmas cakes and puddings. There couldn’t be a more perfect time to hand over the reins of finessing the decorations (of the cake at least) to a true professional. This is why we’ve joined forces with local Business ‘Sweet Art Bakery‘ to bring you our Cake Decorating Craft & Dine Evening on Thursday 22nd December.
Those who book this special exclusive event will be able to bring along their own homemade Christmas Cake (OR one they have purchased – who would ever know the difference?!!) to decorate with all the flair of Kirsty Allsopp or Nigella Lawson, without even breaking into a sweat!
“People can bring any fruit or sponge cake they want, or even purchase one if they would prefer, and I will show them how to turn it from a simple Fruit Cake into a showstopper that will turn heads. Everyone will be talking about your culinary prowess!” Stefanie, the genius behind Sweet Art Bakery, explained: “At the end of the day, we all want to make it to Christmas Day having done everything we need to do, having done it well and hopefully having enjoyed ourselves along the way.”
The cake decorating event at House of Marbles will involve icing your cake and then decorating it with frosted Christmas Trees that will suit any contemporary or traditional Christmas theme. Take home a delicacy that’s a little bit of ‘Sweet Art’ and even more satisfying for getting another task ticked off the to-do list as a job well done. Who knows, you may even start a new tradition in the meantime!
Our Craft & Dine Evenings will take place every Thursday evening throughout December, in the run-up to Christmas… Every Thursday will be an opportunity for relaxed late-night shopping before and after the craft event & you can even make a night of it by adding a ‘Dine’ package to your Cake Craft booking for just an extra £20!
